DNJ... Who We Are

DDNJ Components comes from a long line of transmission and general mechanics history. DNJ's founder David Gott has deep roots in the automotive field. The history starts in the 1950's with David's grandfather, who started working at local garages as a teenager tuning on hotrods. Later he seen the need for specializing in transmissions when he could not keep one in his '55 Chevy. Years later he started teaching his sons how to build transmissions, now all three work in the transmission field. David's father started building transmissions at home as a side job when David was just a little guy, he tells everyone that he learned to walk in tranny fluid. His father opened a transmission rebuilding facility in Springfield, Missouri in the 1980's specializing in automatic transmissions. This business has grown into the largest retail transmission facility in the midwest region of The United States supplying transmissions all over the U.S. and beyond. David has seen a further need for transmission improvement in the past few years, like his father and grandfather did years before, this is when DNJ Components was created. David has alot of people to thank for all the help with getting DNJ up and running, without their support DNJ would not exist. His parents- Marvin and Darla, his wife Christy, his daughters Kaylie and Kelsie. Along with lots of great friends and family- who have supported him in any and all ways possible. To the guys at ATSG- thank you so much for your tech support during the testing process and for reassuring our testing was correct- we would like to extend a very special thank you to them. And to all of our customers- we thank you the most, with out all of you this would not be possible- may God bless you as He has blessed us.
